New small works

I am excited to share images of my newest paintings! The series is titled Treasure Hunt and it includes thirteen small, 25x30 cm acrylic on canvas paintings.
I spent the summer of 2018 painting this series and had a lot of fun with it! The paintings are driven by the phrase Treasure Hunt - it is the first time I had a title for a project before any work was done AND the first time I titled, rather than numbered my paintings. I enjoyed the process of introducing narrative through titles!
The compositions are imagined spaces, all built around the same approximate eye-level within a one-point perspective system. While my focus in painting continues to revolve around colour relationships, in this series I explore repeating compositional elements.
