At Sea (in London)

At Sea (in London) is a series of paintings that emerged from researching London’s skyscraper boom, with a close focus on the way construction cranes dominate the skyline. The paintings engage with a simple motif akin to cranes: vertical lines topped with diagonals move across stained and sanded grounds. In these images, the goal was to address the ephemeral and mobile, yet defining and monumental nature of cranes.

Some At Sea (in London) works were on view at the Slade Interim Show and Cities Methodologies in 2014.
