12 June 2018
I'm delighted to have my screen print Charger included in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, which will be on view from 12th June to 19th August in London.
This year's Summer Exhibition is coordinated by Grayson Perry and features 1,300 artworks in an array of mediums. The RA calles this year's show "the biggest, brightest and most colourful Summer Exhibition yet, in [their] 250th annual celebration of art made now."
Held without interruption since 1769, the Summer Exhibition displays works in a variety of mediums and genres. The works shown are selected and hung by Royal Academicians – who also exhibit works in the exhibition, creating an eclectic mix of work by established artists alongside emerging talent. Most of the art in the show is for sale and purchases help raise money for the Academy’s non-profit-making activities.
I'm happy to have had a work selected for the Summer Exhibition for the third year in a row. This year, my print is hung in the RA's West Sackler Gallery in really great company. I'm especially happy that Charger is included in the exhibition catalogue 250th Summer Exhibition Illustrated 2018 among highlights from the show.
My exhibited Artist Proof and the print edition are available for sale this summer exclusively at the Royal Academy, starting at £580. You can enquire in person at the RA or online at this link.
